LibraryThing has a discussion about books for 11-12 year olds. The titles and authors are listed down the right hand side of the page if you don't want to read the discussion part.	LoveReading4Kids has some persuasive blurbs. You can use the hyperlinks down the left hand side to target the types of books or categories you want to select from.
Trevor Cairney recommends some short story anthologies. Some of the authors he includes are: Margaret Mahy, Paul Jennings, Morris Gleitzman and Roald Dahl.	Giggle Poetry has some of Bruce Lansky's poems set out for Poetry Theatre. You might like to select some of these as a warm-up exercise to practise performing in front of the class.
